The Best Gift

On the seventh day God had finished creating, declared that this day would feast. All newly created beings decided to offer to God the greatest gift they could find.
 
Squirrels brought walnuts and hazelnuts, rabbits carrots and radishes tender sheep wool soft and warm cows milk sparkling and rich cream. Billions of angels formed a wreath and sang a serenade in heaven.
 
The man waiting his turn, concerned. "What could I offer her, me?
   
Flowers have their perfume,
 
The honey bees,
 
and even elephants have proposed to offer to God a shower to cool? "

The man had moved to end of line and still think.

All creatures paraded before God and laid their gifts.

When nothing remained but the snail and the lazy lazy turtle before him, the man was panicked. His turn came.
 
So he did what no animal dared to do. He ran to God, jumped on his lap, kissed him and said: "I love you! "
 
God's face lit up, and all creation was understood that the man who had offered the best gift. It exploded in a cosmic alleluia.
